Flared Base: Why it's non-negotiable
Why must every anal plug have a flared base?
Unlike the vagina, the anal canal has no natural stop. It transitions into the large intestine, which actively pulls objects inward through peristalsis. An object without a sufficient base can completely slide into the anal canal and become impossible to remove on its own – this is a medical emergency requiring a hospital visit.

Why is TPE not suitable for anal plugs?
TPE is porous. Bacteria can settle in the surface and cannot be completely removed – not even by thorough washing. For vaginal use, this is a hygiene risk. For anal use – where bacterial load is higher – it is a serious health risk. No TPE for anal applications.
What about metal and glass?
Metal (stainless steel) and glass (borosilicate glass) are hygienic and completely sterilizable – good properties. But they are rigid, cold, and do not conform to the body.
