What is the difference between platinum silicone and regular silicone?
Platinum silicone is the safest and highest quality class of material – comparable to the standard of medical implants. Cheap silicone often contains fillers and plasticizers (phthalates) that can leach out over time and cause skin irritation. Platinum silicone is non-porous, odorless, dimensionally stable, and can be fully sterilized. The difference is not just theoretical – it is noticeable in a direct comparison.
Are your products suitable for beginners?
Yes – we specifically offer models for beginners. For starters, we recommend smaller dildos from our Dildo Collection or compact models from the Pocket Pussy selection. Each product page contains precise dimensions and an intensity assessment to help you find the right model.
What size is right for beginners?
As a rule of thumb: it's better to start small and work your way up. For dildos, we recommend models up to approx. 15–17 cm in length and 3–4 cm in diameter for beginners. For masturbators, compact, softer models are ideal. All products have detailed measurements – when in doubt, the model that sounds slightly overwhelming is usually the right one for the next step.
What is the difference between a Realistic Dildo and a Fantasy Dildo?
Realistic dildos imitate the natural shape and texture of a penis – with vein structure, skin-like surface, and realistic proportions. Fantasy dildos have abstract or exaggerated shapes that are specifically designed for maximum stimulation – not realism. Which one is a better fit depends on whether you prefer naturalness or targeted arousal.
Which lubricants are compatible with silicone products?
Only water-based lubricants. Silicone-based lubricants will attack the surface of platinum silicone and can permanently damage the texture. Oil- or fat-based products are also not suitable. Water-based is the only safe choice – and works just as well in practice.

Is platinum silicone really body-safe?
Yes – platinum silicone is considered the safest material for sex toys. It is hypoallergenic, contains no plasticizers or harmful substances, is non-porous, and can be fully sterilized. The same material class is used in medical implants and catheters. Unlike TPE or PVC, there are no known long-term risks with skin contact.
Is the price difference to cheaper products really worth it?
Yes – for two reasons. Firstly, platinum silicone is the only material that can be fully sterilized and does not release harmful substances. Secondly, its durability is significantly higher: a high-quality silicone product lasts for many years with proper care, while cheap TPE products often become porous or smell unpleasant after a few months. In the long run, the price difference is minimal.
How do I know if a product is really made of platinum silicone?
Real platinum silicone is odorless, non-sticky, and leaves no residue when rubbed. A simple test: briefly hold a flame to an inconspicuous spot – platinum silicone burns cleanly without soot. Cheap materials often smell chemical or leave an oily film. All SilikonLust products are checked for material quality before shipping.
Are your products suitable for anal use?
Yes – our Anal Dildos are specially designed for this purpose, with a safety base and suitable shape. For anal use, a product with a stopper or flared base is mandatory – never use products without these safety features. Platinum silicone is particularly suitable for anal use because it can be fully sterilized.
How intense is the sensation compared to other materials?
Platinum silicone transmits warmth and pressure very naturally and feels skin-like – softer and more realistic than hard plastic, yet more dimensionally stable than gel. Yes, absolutely. All orders are shipped in neutral, unprinted boxes – without any indication of content or shop name. A neutral description also appears on your bank statement. Neither neighbors nor family members can infer the content from the packaging.
Can I identify the sender on the package?
No. The sender is a neutral address without brand reference. There is no indication of SilikonLust or the contents of the package.
Is delivery to a DHL Packstation possible?
Yes – we deliver to DHL Packstations throughout Germany upon request. Simply enter your Packstation address at checkout.
How long does delivery take?
Orders within Germany are usually delivered within 2–4 working days. EU-wide deliveries take 3–7 working days. After shipping, you will receive an email with your tracking number.
Do you also deliver to other EU countries?
Yes – we deliver to all EU countries as well as many other countries worldwide. The available delivery destinations and current shipping costs will be displayed at checkout.
Can I still change or cancel my order?
Changes and cancellations are possible as long as the order has not yet been shipped. Please contact us by email as soon as possible – we process inquiries within a few hours on working days.
Returns & Cancellations
Can I return a product?
Yes – according to German consumer law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the receipt of the goods. Unopened products can be returned without stating a reason. For hygienic reasons, opened products can only be returned if a defect is proven. Details can be found in our Return Policy.
What do I do if my product arrives defective?
Contact us immediately by email with a brief description and photos of the defect. We will respond quickly and find a solution – replacement or full refund. Quality defects are handled generously without discussion.
Care & Cleaning
How do I clean my product correctly?
Platinum silicone is easy to clean with warm water and mild soap. Products without electronics can also be sterilized in the top rack of the dishwasher (without detergent) or with boiling water. Dry the product completely before storing it – moisture promotes germ formation.
How do I best store my product?
Store silicone products separately in a cloth bag or original packaging. Direct contact between two silicone products can affect the surface over time. Cool, dry, and protected from light is ideal.
